Sunrider Calli tea: brewing and buying guide

Sunrider Calli tea is one of the best-known products in the Sunrider line — and one of the easiest ways to swap an everyday habit (your coffee run or soda) for something you'll feel good about. Here's what it is, how to brew it, and how real customers enjoy it every day.

What makes Calli different?

Calli isn't ordinary tea. Sunrider concentrates whole herbs — including green tea, perilla leaf, and mori (mulberry) leaf — into each little bag, following the Philosophy of Regeneration: nourish the body with whole foods, not isolated fragments. That's why one small bag brews such a rich cup — and why many people get two or three cups from a single bag.

How to brew the perfect cup

  1. 1

Heat your water hot, not boiling. Just-off-the-boil water (let it sit a minute) brings out the flavor without bitterness.

  2. 2

Steep one bag for 3 to 5 minutes. Longer steeping means a stronger, richer cup — experiment to find your sweet spot.

  3. 3

Save the bag. Calli is concentrated — the same bag can brew a second or third cup. That's real value per bag.

  4. 4

Try it iced. Brew hot, let it cool, and pour over ice with a slice of lemon. A refreshing swap for soda on a warm afternoon.

Everyday ways to enjoy it

  • 🌅

Morning ritual. A warm cup of Calli instead of the drive-through coffee — gentler on your wallet and a lovely way to start the day.

  • 🧊

Afternoon iced tea. Keep a pitcher in the fridge for a grab-and-go drink the whole family can share.

  • 🌙

Evening wind-down. Calli Night is made for the evening — a cozy cup before bed.

Aaron & Sel's favorite

How Aaron makes his Calli every day

This is the way I've made Calli for years — a big pitcher in the morning that I sip all day. Here's exactly how I do it:

  1. 1

Heat up hot water, then let it cool off for a few moments — I do this so the hot water doesn't damage the Calli tea leaves.

  2. 2

Pour the water into a large cup, put in the Calli bag of herbs, and let it soak for about five minutes.

  3. 3

Pour the cup into a larger pitcher.

  4. 4

Add a small squeeze of Sunrider SunnDew — it's sweet without the harmful issues of sugar.

I drink the pitcher of Calli tea down over a few hours. My body loves the feeling of drinking Calli herbal tea — I feel relaxed and have calm energy at the same time. Mint Calli is my favorite flavor, and the SunnDew makes it just sweet enough.

Then I don't throw the bag away! I open it up and spread the tea leaves into one of our home plants — the plants get the health benefits too, and they thrive. Nothing goes to waste in our house.

🌙 And in the evening…

Around 5:30 pm I do the same ritual, but with Calli Night. I start drinking it then and it relaxes me — and I find I sleep much, much better. A warm cup of Calli Night is how our day winds down.

Common questions

What is Calli tea?

Calli is Sunrider's herbal beverage concentrate — a blend of herbs like green tea, perilla leaf, and mori (mulberry) leaf, made with whole-food concentration methods. It comes in small tea bags that brew a rich, flavorful cup, hot or iced.

How do you brew Calli tea?

Steep one Calli bag in hot (not boiling) water for 3 to 5 minutes. The bags are concentrated, so one bag can brew more than one cup — many people reuse the same bag for a second or even third cup. For iced Calli, brew it hot, let it cool, and pour over ice.

Can I drink Calli tea every day?

Many Sunrider customers enjoy Calli daily as part of their routine, the way others enjoy coffee or regular tea. It's a food, not a medicine — listen to your body and ask your doctor if you have questions about your own situation.

What flavors does Calli come in?

Calli comes in several varieties, including Regular, Mint, Cinnamon, and Night. The full current selection and prices are on the official Sunrider storefront.

How do Aaron & Sel like to drink their Calli?

Aaron heats water, lets it cool a moment so it doesn't damage the tea leaves, steeps the bag about five minutes, pours it into a pitcher, and adds a small squeeze of Sunrider SunnDew. He sips the pitcher over a few hours — Mint Calli is his favorite. Afterward he opens the bag and spreads the tea leaves into the home plants, which thrive on it. In the evening around 5:30 pm he makes the same ritual with Calli Night, which relaxes him and helps him sleep much better.

What do you do with the Calli bag after brewing?

Don't toss it! Aaron opens the used bag and spreads the tea leaves into the soil of his home plants — they get the health benefits too, and they thrive. It's an easy zero-waste habit.
